Since I wrote stuff in my journal.  This last year has been pretty busy with classes and baking cakes.  I'm taking some classes this fall in Figure Drawing, Acrylics and Watercolor.  They are all separate, though a class with all those might be interesting.  I think I will really enjoy the acrylics class because it feels similar to hand-painting cakes (which I thoroughly enjoy doing).  The watercolor class is focused on portraits this time around.  I'm terrible at drawing faces, so I hope that doing this class will vastly improve that part of my art-self.  The Figure Drawing is focused on anatomy to help mas

I've recently started volunteering at my friend's bakery to help her out and to learn about decorating cakes, cupcakes, etc... It's hard work, but it's a lot of fun too.  Plus I get to hang out with her :)  I think I'm doing pretty decently, but I can tell I have a long way to go before I feel comfortable with my cake decorating.  I'm planning on taking a class on it and possibly asking my aunt and uncle to teach me fondant.  They aren't professionals themselves, but I really think they should be.  Some of the cakes they've done are absolutely amazing. Work and class start back up this week which makes me sad because I won't have as much time to draw:(  Hopefully things will settle soon enough though.  That way I can get back to the fun things in life!
